Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information HomePilot collects, how it's handled, and the choices you have. Your household's data belongs to you: we don't sell it and we don't share it, full stop. Today, HomePilot also has no backend server, so everything you enter stays on your device and syncs only to your own private iCloud account, and we simply don't have a way to see it.
What data HomePilot stores
HomePilot stores only the information you enter yourself: staff records (name, contact number, role, start date, salary, salary day, advance and loan figures, and payment history, including their UPI handle, bank account number, and IFSC code) and vendor project records (vendor name, contact number, project type, original quote, scope adjustments, payment history, and progress notes, including their UPI handle, bank account number, and IFSC code). HomePilot does not collect device identifiers, location data, your contacts, or anything else in the background.
About data belonging to other people
Most of what HomePilot stores isn't about you. It's about the people you employ or hire: your staff and your vendors. That data is entered by you, stored on your device, and never leaves your control. You're responsible for keeping it accurate and for using it appropriately. We'd also encourage you to let the people you're tracking know that their payment details are kept in an app on your phone. It's good practice, and it's their information too.
Where your data lives
Today, your data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you're signed in to iCloud, it also syncs to the private database of your own iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit, so it backs up and stays in sync across your own devices. That private database is controlled by your Apple ID and protected by Apple's own security. We have no access to it, no visibility into it, and no way to retrieve it if you lose access to your Apple ID.
What we don't do
We don't sell, share, or transfer your data to anyone, for any reason. Today, HomePilot also has no backend server, so your data doesn't even pass through us.
Payments
HomePilot calculates and remembers payment amounts. It doesn't move money. When it's time to pay, HomePilot copies the recipient's UPI handle and opens your UPI app; you enter the amount and complete the payment yourself. HomePilot never stores a UPI PIN, one-time password, login credential, or anything that could authorize a payment on your behalf.
Your choices
Because everything is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, you're in full control. Delete individual records inside the app at any time, or delete the app and remove its data from your device's iCloud settings to remove everything at once.
Children's privacy
HomePilot is a household administration tool for adults managing staff and vendor payments. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Since HomePilot has no accounts or backend, we can't email you about changes directly. Check back here if you want to know what's changed.
